Happy Feet [DVD] [2012]

The story of Mumble, a young emperor penguin, is the focus of the double bill of children's animated features. In the 2006 film 'Happy Feet', Mumble, voiced by Elijah Wood, struggles to perform the heartsong, which is crucial for finding a life partner. However, he discovers that his true talent lies in his ability to tap dance, a skill unlike any other seen in the penguin community. Unfortunately, Mumble's toe-tapping talent is deemed peculiar by the emperor elders, and he is branded an outcast, even being accused of causing the mysterious fish famine that threatens the penguin way of life. Determined to prove his innocence, Mumble decides to embark on a journey to uncover the real cause of the fish famine.

In the 2011 sequel, 'Happy Feet 2', Mumble is dismayed to find that his son, Erik (voiced by Elizabeth Daily), cannot or will not dance. Instead, Erik idolises The Mighty Sven (voiced by Hank Azaria), a penguin who can fly. Feeling hopeless in competing with this charismatic new role model, Mumble gives up on the idea of passing his passion for dancing to his son. However, when their world comes under threat from powerful external forces, Erik realizes that his father is, in fact, a true hero. Through these two animated films, the audience follows the journey of Mumble and his family as they navigate the challenges of self-discovery, acceptance, and the importance of embracing one's unique talents, even in the face of adversity.
